Welcome to Ten Thousand 86 - an independent film production company founded by Nick Varley. Our current active projects include the development of a slate of feature documentaries, films and tv projects.

In the documentary world our interest primarily lies in cinema & entertainment subjects (although that’s not exclusive).. Over in the fiction space our interest covers a broad range of stories. In development, we also have a number of exciting projects based on established film and literary properties.

Nick has extensive knowledge and experience in international sales and distribution and in addition to producing new and exciting films we also advise a number of high profile studios and independent companies on sales and distribution matters. Using our unrivalled knowledge of film library management, acquisitions and valuations we help ambitious companies throughout the world maximise opportunities from their film libraries.
